Ogromna ulaganja u Lone Star State-u! Texas je proslavio još jednu veliku ekonomsku pobjedu kada je Bristol Myers Squibb najavio zapanjujuća ulaganja od 2,3 MILIJARDE dolara, stvarajući više od 500 kvalificiranih radnih mjesta u regiji.

Okrugli stol Kongresnog koledža kreatora! U partnerstvu s YouTubeom, Beth Van Duyne je organizirala prvi Okrugli stol ekonomije kreatora u Googleovom uredu u Dallasu. Irving, Texas – Last Thursday, our office hosted the fifth North Texas Job Fair at Globe Life Field, and it turned out to be the biggest one yet! More than 50,000 job seekers came through the doors, meeting with over 670 local employers offering more than 68,000 open positions – all under one roof. On Monday, I introduced the Beverage Regulatory Parity Act, giving Congress a targeted framework for hemp-derived beverages that protects children, provides regulatory certainty, and allows responsible hemp beverage companies to operate under clear standards. Another big win for Texas, as Bristol Myers Squibb announced a $2.3 BILLION investment to create over 500 skilled jobs in the Lone Star State. With YouTube, we hosted the first-ever Congressional Creators Caucus Creator Economy Roundtable at Google’s Dallas office, bringing together creators from across North Texas to talk about where this industry is headed. Since launching the Creators Caucus, I’ve connected with creators across the country, and this was my first chance to do that with a group of creators right here in the district. Creators are small business owners. They hire local teams, invest in their communities, and drive real economic activity in districts across the country, including right here in North Texas. We talked through the challenges they’re facing and how Congress can work with them to legitimize the creator economy as the serious industry it’s become. At the Creator Economy Roundtable, we were joined by creators across verticals: STEM educators Brianna and Sabrina of the Amoeba Sisters, who use animated videos to explain science concepts for students and teachers; Joe Scott, who covers science, space, history, and future technology; Destiny Adams, who makes content about content creation and things to do around the Metroplex; food and travel creator Mike Chen of Strictly Dumpling; family creator Michael McFatridge of KidCity, who creates videos with his family; Lee Steinfeld, who covers rare collectibles and gaming with real-life experiences in DFW; and Tati Westbrook, a founding YouTube beauty creator who has since launched the wellness brand Halo Beauty. I had the chance to visit the Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth. The hospital serves the surrounding communities, treating over 50,000 patients a year. I was able to sit down with hospital leadership and talk through what’s working for patients and staff. Yesterday, I joined my North Texas colleague Rep. Marc Veasey at the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Congressional Forum to talk about the work we’re doing in Washington on behalf of North Texas families. North Texas is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, and that growth brings real opportunities for hardworking Texans across our region.
