We were able to catch up about issues that matter most to auto dealers in North Texas. I had to miss the ceremony earlier this month, but I was so grateful for the honor and glad I got the chance to meet with them on Tuesday. For years, I have worked to shine a light on fraud and abuse in the hospice space and strengthen oversight and enforcement. I will continue to advocate for the hospice and home health industry and fight to protect the seniors and families who depend on it most. In June 2025, I launched the Congressional Creators Caucus with Representative Yvette Clarke. Now it’s officially a bicameral caucus with Senator John Kennedy and Senator Cory Booker launching the Senate Creators Caucus. To celebrate, creators from across the country gathered in D.C. this week to attend a variety of events and meetings. I’m excited to continue to learn from creators across the country on how we can work to support the creator economy. On Wednesday, my Small Business Committee colleagues and I passed nine bills out of committee to help American small businesses continue to grow and thrive. Including two bills I helped Representative Tony Wied introduce. The Restoring American Manufacturing Act, which codifies the SBA’s Make Onshoring Great Again Portal, connecting small businesses who seek to onshore their operations with verified U.S. manufacturers, producers, and suppliers. And the Cybersecurity for Small Businesses Act, which requires the SBA to work with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to provide small businesses with cybersecurity best practices. After more than a year of bipartisan work, the Ways and Means Committee held a markup for the first-ever tax framework for digital assets, bringing much needed tax certainty to this growing part of our economy. I had an insightful meeting with advisors from LPL Financial. We were able to talk about their impact in the district, with over 18,000 accounts across Texas-24, and their support of my GROWTH Act, commonsense bipartisan legislation that ends the annual taxation of reinvested mutual fund capital gain distributions. That afternoon, I had the chance to speak with the team from Vertiports by Atlantic. North Texas is a hub for innovation and aviation, and it was great to hear directly from them about the future of advanced air mobility and what it could mean for economic growth here in Texas and across the country. I met with representatives from Energy Access Innovations, a leading battery producer in America. We discussed their work to level the playing field, to end China-based tariff cheating that hurts U.S.-based businesses.
