U srcu Washingtona, D.C., i kod kuće u velikoj saveznoj državi Teksas, američka kongresnica Beth Van Duyne nastavlja dokazivati zašto je jedan od najsposobnijih glasova za svoje birače. Njezina najnovija tjedna objava pravi je primjer kako izgleda povezivanje nacionalne politike s lokalnim utjecajem. Od osiguravanja granica do osnaživanja radne snage Sjevernog Teksasa, evo pregleda impresivnog rada koji je obavljala ovaj tjedan.
Osnaživanje radne snage. Kongresnica Van Duyne i dalje je posvećena stvaranju radnih mjesta. Oduševljena je što može najaviti povratak Sajma zapošljavanja Sjevernog Teksasa, koji je već pomogao više od 100.000 stanovnika da pronađu nove prilike. Ove godine, događaj se održava na Globe Life Field u Arlingtonu u četvrtak, 6. kolovoza. To je dokaz njezine filozofije da je najznačajniji posao koji predstavnik može obaviti povezivanje susjeda s pravim prilikama u njihovom vlastitom dvorištu. Zapravo, ovaj uspješan model podijelila je i sa svojim kolegama na Republikanskoj konferenciji Zastupničkog doma, potičući ih da slične inicijative donesu u svoje okruge.
Borba za porezne obveznike i male tvrtke. Bio je to tjedan priznanja za financijski fokus kongresnice. Bila je počašćena primanjem nagrade Prijatelj poreznih obveznika 2025. od Nacionalnog saveza poreznih obveznika, koja je prepoznala njezine neumorne napore u smanjenju poreza za starije osobe i vrijedne obitelji.
Njezin ured i dalje je središte za lokalne poslovne lidere. Bilo je to susretanje s Becky Renfro iz čuvenog Fort Worthskog brenda Mrs. Renfro’s ili suradnja s timom iz Western Extrusions, Van Duyne je potpuno usmjerena na politike koje drže vrata otvorenima i proizvodnju snažnom.
Također zagovara ‘GROWTH Act’ kako bi pomogla investitorima s Main Streeta da osiguraju svoju budućnost i aktivno sudjeluje na odborima o oporezivanju digitalne imovine kako bi Amerika ostala globalni lider u inovacijama.
Sigurna budućnost. Na nacionalnoj razini, ovaj tjedan je obilježio značajan trenutak donošenjem i potpisivanjem Zakona o sigurnoj Americi. Osiguravanjem financiranja za ICE i Graničnu patrolu, kongresnica Van Duyne i njezine kolege zauzele su čvrst stav u podršci američkim agentima u prvim redovima i zaštiti američkih zajednica za ostatak predsjedničkog mandata Trumpa.

Diplomacija: Susrela se s veleposlanikom Singapura u SAD-u, gospodinom Lui Tuck Yewom, kako bi obilježili 60 godina vitalnog gospodarskog i diplomatskog partnerstva.
Globalna sigurnost: Održala je informativan sastanak s generalom-majorom Flynnom o operacijama NATO-a.
Ponos zajednice: Navijala je za bejzbol tim Keller Indians—novi prvaci države u Diviziji I, Klasa 6A—kao ovogodišnji “Heroji domaćeg kraja.”
Zabava i duh: Između pobjede u Kongresnoj bejzbol utakmici (šesta uzastopna pobjeda za Republikance!) i početka FIFA Svjetskog prvenstva, u zraku je puno uzbuđenja.
Pridruži se timu! Za sve koji žele sudjelovati, Kongresnica trenutno prima prijave za jesenske pripravnike u svojim uredima u Washingtonu, D.C. i Addinsonu u Teksasu. Ovo je sjajna prilika da služite zajednici i iz prve ruke vidite kako funkcionira zakonodavni proces.

On Tuesday, we had a Ways and Means Legislative Hearing on Digital Asset Taxation. Alongside my colleagues on the committee, we are working to ensure America remains the crypto capital of the world.
I met with members of the Western Extrusions team, a Carrollton-based national leader in extruded aluminum manufacturing. We discussed how we can continue to strengthen our domestic manufacturing base.

Wonderful start to Wednesday, where I started out my day by speaking to District Directors from across the country at the annual fly-in hosted by our House Republican Conference.
They invited me to share the story of our North Texas Job Fair – how it started, what it’s grown into, and how their offices can bring the same model home to their districts. Connecting constituents with real job opportunities in their own backyard is one of the most meaningful things we can do as representatives, and I encourage my colleagues to do the same!
Had a very insightful meeting with Major General Flynn, he currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum in the Netherlands. He was on Capitol Hill as part of the Army Strategic Education Program.
I always enjoy meeting with the American Gem Trade Association, they are an organization comprised of small businesses that are importers and manufacturers of natural-colored gemstones. We discussed my work as a member of the Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee.
That afternoon I also met with members of the Financial Services Institute where we discussed priorities for the independent financial services industry, including my GROWTH Act, which would help Main Street investors save more for their futures.
Wednesday evening was the annual Congressional Baseball Game, and the Republicans took home the trophy for the sixth straight year! And $3.2 million was raised for charity!
The FIFA World Cup officially kicked off on Thursday! We are so excited to be hosting 9 games in Dallas over the next few weeks!
Always love talking with the Vistra team, and many were visiting from Texas-24. We discussed the Reconciliation process, and what that looks like for the rest of this congress, as well as the major permitting reforms from the Working Families Tax Cuts that benefit large-scale power generators like Vistra.
Vistra has already signed up to join us at our 5th North Texas Job Fair in August!
